I’m Atsal Khandro

— a therapist, coach, and long-time student of the body’s wisdom. For over 40 years, I’ve helped adults and teens heal what feels stuck, strengthen their relationships, and reconnect with a deeper sense of ease and clarity. My approach blends talk therapy with somatic practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS), breathwork, and trauma-informed care. Together, we explore what your system needs—not by force, but with curiosity, compassion, and the right tools for you.

I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan (class of ’82), and have trained in bioenergetics, marital counseling, meditation, nervous system regulation, and conflict resolution. Over the years, I’ve learned that healing isn’t just about processing pain—it’s about making more room for joy, too.

When I’m not in session, you’ll probably find me in the garden, laughing with friends, or out walking with my pug, Luca. I love flowers, birdsong, and anything that reminds us to feel joy.

My office is warm and welcoming—and our work together will be too. Whether you're navigating a major life change, untangling past pain, or simply seeking more energy and presence, I’d be honored to support you on your path.
